BASELESS ALLEGATIONS EXONERATED BY OHIO ELECTIONS COMMISSIONS
In a shameful attempt to knock our growing campaign momentum off track, the charges filed against The Price Campaign were fully exonerated by The Ohio Elections Commission in a hearing on Wednesday, October 9, 2009. Because our opponents are fearful of a Price Victory, they chose not to engage our team on the issues, but rather on phony arguments about "attempting to mislead voters." Those of you that are part of our campaign, and those who know us well, know that this type of bitter politics must end.

JOE PRICE TO HOST FUNDRAISER AT CERINO’S PIZZERIA
As my campaign for Council-at-Large in Broadview Heights nears an end, my need for financial support still remains. You can again show your support this September 27, 2009 at Eddie’s Pizzeria Cerino located at 7305 Broadview Road in Seven Hills. As I near the end of this 2009 campaign, please join Denise and me from 2-5 PM this day. Please RSVP on or before September 21, 2009 at joebprice@aol.com.
The Cerino name has long been known throughout Northeast Ohio for the finest dining and catering experiences. Eddie’s Pizzeria Cerino opened in January of this year and has rapidly stepped up to again honor the Cerino family tradition. Owned by and operated by Broadview Heights residents and long time friends Eddie and Elisha Cerino, Eddie and Elisha have graciously opened their restaurant for this special Sunday event. Eddie will prepare and serve some of his finest specialties along with refreshments, beer and wine. For more about Eddie’s Pizzeria Cerino, please visit www.pizzeriacerino.com.
Your kind and continued support would help meet the financial demands in this the closing days of my 2009 campaign.
Suggested donation for this event is $25 per person. Checks should be made payable to Friends of Joe Price. No corporate checks please. Again thank you for all past support as I look forward to seeing you and your guests on September 27th .
Joe’s Mission –
Committed to uniting the community and Restoring TRUST with a professional Approach to municipal government, our Residential needs and economic growth
I am committed to uniting the community. The emphasis focused on community. Some elected officials past and present harnessed resentment and denial of the first part of my mission. This happened because they read into it as a comment directed at them. The mission is to unite the community… not the elected. I believe that every elected office is a form of community service and as such uniting the elected is not an option, it’s an obligation.
Uniting the community has already been evident through my involvement with the Boosters, Lions, Kiwanis, Lend-a-Hand, Brecksville-Broadview Heights C.E.R.T. and other organizations like Fresh Coat Cleveland, The Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus have supported one another civically and financially through fundraising and at times many working together collaboratively on projects benefiting the community and residents of Broadview Heights.
Every politician’s platform is one of personal desire to improve community standards, community services and responsible spending. Trust in our elected is earned when those who talk the talk actually walk the walk. I will earn that trust as I work to live up to your expectations. My proposed 20% reduction in elected officials compensation is but a scratch on the surface. The real impact of this is found in the precedence it sets. On one hand it separates the greedy from the true servant, on the other hand it stands as a standard set by the elected as a commitment to our community, our employees, our vendors and our residents. Trust will also be earned through a compassion to serve and through office transparency. Others have proposed that attendance records of our elected be published on-line. Also proposed is that we deduct a proportionate compensation of council members that are reported absent from council meetings. Both of these additions to my original proposal are ones I fully support.
As a business owner of the past 22-years I understand fiscal responsibility. Spending cannot exceed income. Anything contrary to that will in the long-term spell financial short fall for our municipal government and the services we all rely on. As a business owner I have experienced A to Z the various elements of planning, income, employment, expenditures, cost control, purchasing and liabilities to mention a few. While many on council work in various business environments, none have served as the owner of an Ohio Corporation. I believe that a business presence would not only benefit the financial security of our future, it will also benefit the potential of our ever so needed economic growth.
"A vision without a plan is but a dream." Inspired by an Old Proverb which states; "A vision without a plan is just a dream. A plan without a vision is drudgery. But a vision with a plan can change the world." |
